Key practice areas:

General corporate, with a focus on mergers and acquisitions and court based restructuring

Why you chose to focus in these areas:

There is never a dull moment while working on an M&A transaction! I enjoy the excitement of structuring and negotiating a deal and applying the law to achieve commercial objectives. There are also often diverse areas of law involved in an M&A transaction which keeps me engaged.

Details of the matter that you have worked on in your career to date that you are most proud of, and why:

I have had the opportunity to work on various large and complex transactions and am proud of my achievements. However the transaction that stands out for me is one of the first deals on which I led a team as a relatively junior associate - it was a fairly small acquisition which almost fell through on some commercial differences. I was able to find a solution which worked for both parties and the transaction was completed on this basis. This was immensely satisfying.

Mr Cyril Shroff has been my mentor since the start of my career and I owe a large part of my professional achievements to his guidance and mentorship. I also worked very closely with V Umakanth and Nimisha Rau, and their training has been invaluable in my career.
