    A former national tax director and international tax partner at two Big Four firms, Mukesh Butani brings more than 30 years of international tax and transfer pricing expertise to his role as managing partner of BMR Legal. He has acted for Indian business houses and Fortune 500 companies in matters relating to crossborder tax structuring, tax controversy and tax policy.

    Shefali Goradia has over 21 years’ experience in international tax work, specifically cross-border taxation, and she advises multinational corporations in designing global holding and operating structures, structuring inbound and outbound investments, crossborder mergers, acquisitions and other corporate reorganisations.

    Amit Khansaheb offers clients M&A and private equity support as a member of the firm’s transactions advisory practice, acting in asset and business purchases and sales, securities, tender offers, joint ventures and strategic buyouts. 

    Sriram Seshadri is partner with the firm’s direct tax practice in Chennai. He specialises in litigation and advice for clients on corporate and international tax matters.


    Butani led the firm in providing tax litigation support, representation and strategy advice to the aviation and energy segments of Rolls-Royce, encompassing several appeals in the Delhi High Court and special leave petitions in the Supreme Court involving complex issues in international tax with respect to permanent establishment rules. Other clients include Schneider Electric, Carlyle India Advisors, Goodyear Tyres and Accenture. On the indirect tax front, the firm was
    involved in representation of Tupperware India, Coastal Gujarat Power and Ashu Export Promoters, among numerous other matters.
