    Thacker’s banking clients have in the past included Central Bank of India, Citibank, Citigroup Global Markets, GE Capital, HSBC, Axis Bank, RBS and Société Générale. He acted for a consortium of international lenders with State Bank of India as the lead arranger for the $215.5 million loan advanced to SCI for the acquisition of six newly built 57,000 metric tonne bulk carriers; Axis Bank for the $41 million loan advanced to Doddanavar Global Energy Private Limited for financing the implementation and purchase of wind farm projects; and EXIM Bank for the $24 million loan advanced to Great Offshore Limited for financing its equity participation in its overseas subsidiaries.

    The firm also acted for Sandvik Asia in the acquisition of the surface drilling business from Eimco Elecon. The firm also recently acted for the Shipping Corporation of India in relation to the acquisition of two 57,000 DWT supramax bulk carriers for $29.95 million each.
