    Managing partner Essence Obhan heads the patents and designs functions of the firm and regularly advises domestic clients and Fortune 500 multinationals on IP strategy and portfolio management. His patent advocacy and opposition work has seen him argue before various courts in India, as well as the Patent Office and the Intellectual Property Appellate Board.


    Among the firm’s recent engagements are the dispute between the Times of India and the Financial Times over the use of the mark “Financial Times”, and the acquisition of Ananda’s stake in Penguin Books India by Penguin Random House, alongside prominent patent revocation matters and suits for injunction for various clients.
