Samvād Partners was formed by a merger of Narasappa, Doraswamy & Raja and V Chambers of Law in April 2013, creating a single, “very strong” full-service brand. A host of headline-grabbing deals have established the new firm’s name as one to watch for domestic and foreign businesses alike in its short lifetime.

Harish Narasappa is known for his cross-border M&A, corporate finance, private equity and compliance work, as well as his strong international outlook, having previously worked at Herbert Smith in London.

Narasappa’s past clients include Sterling Infotech Group, iGATE Global Solutions, the Capital Maharaja Group, Strides Arcolab, Mentor Partners, Geodesic Techniques and the Vaishnavi Group.

In the past year Samvād has acted for Omnesys Technologies in their sale of its entire shareholding to Thomson Reuters, in which the firm reviewed the transaction and executed the ancillary documents as well as assisting in negotiations, satisfaction of conditions precedent and closing. On the private equity side, the firm has advised Madison India Real Estate Fund in its exit from Damon Hospitality by way of a stake-sale. The TMT team meanwhile acted for US telecoms company CenturyLink in connection with the operations of its Indian subsidiary.
