Valued at $139 million, the deal is EIL’s largest ever single consultancy assignment.

EIL’s work will be focused on the implementation of a 400,000 barrel-per-stream-day petroleum refinery and a 600,000 ton-per-annum polyproylene plant to be set up in Nigeria’s Lekki Free Trade Zone. The refinery is expected to be completed in 2016, at which point it will become the largest facility of its kind in Africa.

Kochhar’s team was led by partner Ngangom Junior Luwang alongside senior associate Avichal Prasad and associate Akshay Bhagchandani.

Dangote was represented by Pinsent Masons partner Julia Maguire and senior associate Navjeet Virk.
