Mr Faizullabhoy was enrolled as an advocate after passing the Bar Council Examination. He enrolled as an attorney/solicitor in 1960.
He completed an articleship with M/s Mulla & Mulla & Craigie Blunt & Caroe and thereafter became assistant solicitor in the firm and has been a partner since 1969.
He specialises in commercial transaction and commercial documentation, company law matters including incorporation, joint venture and collaboration, amalgamation, and real estate transactions including restructuring and arbitration.
He has edited and supervised the edition of Indian Law Digest to the Lexis Nexis Martindale-Hubbell International Law Directory for over 10 years. He has given lectures and read papers at various conferences and workshops on issues involving corporate law.
He was a director on the board of several public listed companies including in a government bank and was a member on the local advisory board of a foreign bank.
He has been a solicitor for various public companies and acted for and advised various public companies including those belonging to Tata Group and acted as an adviser for making contracts and financial documents in connection with the World Bank loan to Tata Power Limited for setting up and upgrading the Power Plant at Trombay.
He has been an arbitration lawyer and has also been an arbitrator and member of the arbitral tribunal in domestic arbitrations.
