Mr Bhavesh V Panjuani, partner of leading Indian law firm M/s Mulla & Mulla & Craigie Blunt & Caroe, with an extensively broad-based and diverse practice, is an advocate and a solicitor, associated with the firm since April 1991. He is on the boards of Indian companies and corporate entities as a professional, non-executive and independent director.
He is an advocate – enrolled with the Bar Council since 1992; a solicitor – admitted as a member of the Bombay Incorporated Law Society since 1994; and an advocate on record registered with the Supreme Court of India.
He was conferred his LLB (Bachelor of Laws) and BCom (Bachelor of Commerce) degrees by the University of Mumbai.
Mr Panjuani has been a member of the Indian Merchants’ Chambers’ (IMC’s) experts’ committee on law: review, reforms and rationalisation since 2002; and the IMC court of arbitration and conciliation committee since 2007. He is a member of the Supreme Court Bar Association and the Bombay Bar Association.
His areas of legal practice are: commercial and corporate law, litigation (in courts/tribunals and arbitration) and general civil practice – with special focus on commercial disputes; contract documentation, negotiation, claims and litigation; and arbitrations – domestic/international and ad hoc/institutional (like International Court of Arbitration of ICC, Paris and UNCITRAL).
Mr Panjuani has attended to matters of construction and infrastructural projects; petroleum, electricity, power and energy industries; and acquisition/transfer of business, machinery/equipment and technology transfers.
